Chi Kung (Qigong) for personal practice and teacher training course

Join our in-depth Chi Kung training to deepen into your own Chi Kung practice or learn to teach Chi Kung Classes. It’s a 8 months training with 8 weekends in person at a beautiful studio in Baron’s Court, London where we practice and train together.

The Conscious Movement Chi Kung (CMCK) training is led by Daniel Brierley founder and principal instructor of Conscious Movement Chi Kung.  The course is assisted by qualified Chi Kung instructor Natalia Miralles Huete.

Introduction to Conscious Movement Chi Kung (Qigong)

Conscious Movement Chi Kung (CMCK) is the culmination of Daniel’s 20+ years of teaching chi kung. It is a practice that brings together a variety of different approaches to the art:

  • Five element forms

  • Breathing techniques

  • Healing sounds

  • Classic forms

All of which offer the students a broad understanding of what it means to practice Chi Kung.

About Chi Kung (Qigong)

Chi Kung is above all a healing art, and primarily its purpose is to help guide us towards greater balance of mind, body and spirit. This is with the understanding that we are always being affected and pulled out of balance by our day-to-day experiences. Our body systems naturally try to guide us back to health, and through listening and understanding we can enhance and support this natural process. Cultivating better habits for ourselves in how we eat, sleep, work and play.

Chi Kung is an ancient art for the modern day. In these challenging times, it is more important than ever to learn how to harmonise and work with our environment. Chi Kung is one of the ways that we can do this. Cultivating a deep understanding of the importance of our relationship to the natural world by embracing the Tao. Healing begins at home with every breath and every form we practice taking responsibility for our health and wellbeing radiating out from the centre sending a positive vibration through our cells and out into the world around us. Chi Kung is a mindfulness practice.

Meet the team

  • Founder, Main Teacher

I have been practising Chi Kung for nearly 30 years and teaching for over 15. It has been a constant in my journey. In that time I have also trained in various therapies and studied other forms of exercise and movement. It seems like the theme of my life to this point has been a journey towards healing, on all levels physical, mental and emotional. A a journey without beginning or end. With many twists and turns along the way.

As a teacher my main goal is to empower people by giving them a tool that will support development and growth throughout their life. The question I continually ask myself is what is Chi Kung? It seems so vast and so simple, its hard to touch the edges. For me it is much more than just a form of movement for health. I think that Chi Kung has been placed inside a box that can’t contain it, and its struggling to break free from misunderstanding and misrepresentation. Chi Kung is a multi dimensional tool and It comprises form, flows, stretches breathing techniques, meditation and philosophy.

The reason why I decided to call my system Conscious Movement Chi Kung is because I want to feel free to explore the movement, breath and forms without feeling restricted to a one dimensional limited expression of the art.

  • Assistant Teacher

Natalia Miralles Huete is a certified Chi Kung (Qigong) teacher living in London. She has trained in a variety of Chi Kung modalities: Five Element Chi Kung and Nei Kung with instructors Daniel Brierley and Mimi Kuo-Deemer; and in Yi Quan Chi Kung with Grandmaster Kenneth S. Cohen.

Through her teacher and mentor Daniel Brierley she started studying Chi Kung in 2017 while desperately looking for ways to manage her widespread chronic pain. The practice of Chi Kung was beneficial on so many levels (physical, emotional, and spiritual). Natalia fully immersed herself into it, as a personal daily practice and as a new fulfilling professional career, leaving behind her 15-year career as an architect.

Natalia has been teaching full time since 2020 both in the UK (London) and in Spain (Madrid). She currently runs a variety of one-to-one sessions, group classes and courses, in-person at Colet House in London and online via Zoom.

She enrolled in the first ever CMCK (Conscious Movement Chi Kung) teacher training run by Daniel Brierley which gave her the certainty of what she wanted to do with her life: sharing the healing power of Chi Kung with others. She has now joined Daniel at CMCK as an assistant instructor, marking an exciting new stage of her professional life.

Natalia has also trained in Chronic Pain Management, and in MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) and MBCT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy). You can follow her Chi Kung (Qigong) account on Instagram @nataliamiralleshuete or contact her directly via email at nataliamhqigong@gmail.com
